Musings on Sanctuary and Spirituality Podcast – Episode 46

Sanctuary Chat with Dr Angele Close

Dr. Angele Close is a clinical psychologist and certified mindfulness meditation teacher.

She studied from two well-known mindfulness teachers in the United States, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, graduating from their first – and only in-person cohort – of their Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. Angele also works as an emotion-focused therapist, having trained closely with its chief developer, Dr. Leslie Greenberg.

In her work with clients and students, Angele integrates the teachings of mindfulness and compassion, with a particular passion for helping people learn the language of emotions. She is committed to helping people find healing and transformation in their lives by learning to relate to their inner experiences with skill, wisdom, and self-compassion.

In this Sanctuary Chat Angele and I talk about

  • Her story, and how it led Angele to doing her work in the world
  • Unprocessed and suppressed emotions as a barrier to balance and wellbeing
  • Why we neglect the wisdom of our emotions
  • Simple strategies to help us move through our emotions
  • And so much more!
